A House for Grandma is a secondary dwelling designed by Brcar Morony Architecture.
A House for Grandma features a comforting palette of neutral tones and reassuring materials to create a welcoming short stay or independent generational home.
Recycled bricks laid in various bonds add interest to the exterior.
Both dwellings are connected.
The dwelling has its own entrance via a canopy of brick work.
The home opens up to connect with the shared garden.
Two opposing elevations open allows eyes to read the site boundary to boundary.
A window seat looks out to the shared garden.
The hallway provides light and privacy with lowline windows to the yard.
Appliances are integrated into the abundant of floor-to-ceiling cabinetry.
The kitchen merges into the window seat creating a seamless transition.
Muted tones within the bathroom.
The bedroom doubles as a work from home space.
Built in cabinetry keeps memories and treasures within reach.
Privacy and independance are maintained within both dwellings.
