Ecodure Flooring’s new Grey Lynn showroom gives architects, designers and homeowners a more direct way to experience its evolving range of flooring solutions.
Flooring is difficult to fully understand from a screen. Colour, texture, scale and the way a surface responds to light all become clearer when materials can be seen, handled and explained in person. Ecodure Flooring’s new Grey Lynn showroom provides a more central Auckland setting for that process, complementing its existing Albany location.

Located on the corner of Bond St and Great North Road, the showroom brings together Ecodure’s range of premium rigid-core hybrid, hardened timber, acoustic and contemporary vinyl flooring technologies. It’s a casual way to compare materials and gain a deeper understanding of a floor and its capabilities, directly from the people who make them. This level of clarity is particularly valuable to flooring, where decisions tend to balance visual qualities with practical considerations like track record, durability, acoustics, installation and everyday use.
The showroom also provides a physical context for understanding the product development behind Ecodure’s broader range. The family-owned business has been operating since 2010, spanning residential and commercial flooring across several categories, including premium rigid-core hybrid, waterproof and acoustic technologies, timber and carpet. Ecodure describes its approach as focused on sourcing world-leading technology to build floors that solve real pain points in the New Zealand construction industry.
One example is the award-winning DuracoreSilent®, a premium acoustic hybrid floor that integrates patented acoustic and sustainability technology deep within its mineral core. Combined with a pre-attached cork backing, its ultra-fine profile reduces sound transfer between inter-tenancy floors by 21 decibels, meeting acoustic requirements over both concrete and timber construction without additional underlay or adhesive.
Seeing a product like this in person helps put its performance into context. DuracoreSilent® combines acoustic advantage with a waterproof rigid core and an oiled-oak appearance, bringing technical requirements and material character together. The range is available in both plank and herringbone formats, offering further choice in how the surface is used within an interior.
The wider Ecodure collection reflects the same focus on developing flooring around the demands of contemporary projects across timber, hybrid, acoustic and carpet selections. That said, only the best in each category are selected. You won’t find a clutter of options, with just one or two proven selections in each category. Technologies and construction methods have been refined and designed to address considerations such as durability, stability, acoustics and installation alongside the finished appearance.
Ecodure's focus on deep product knowledge, from research and development through to project completion, has driven refinement of the range. This gives designers clarity and confidence that with Ecodure, they can approach flooring as an integrated part of the build, rather than simply a final surface selection.
For architects, designers and homeowners, the Grey Lynn showroom therefore adds another stage to the specification process: somewhere to move beyond samples on a screen and assess materials at close range, compare different flooring systems and consider how they might perform within a project.
The new location is at 39/332 Great North Road, Grey Lynn, and is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm.
