Calling all community groups connected to a Responsible Wood certified forest! Applications for the Responsible Wood Community Grants Program closes Sunday, the 31st of October 2021

The Responsible Wood Community Grants Program is aimed at supporting local communities connected to Responsible Wood certified forests around Australia.

According to Ms Graham, the Responsible Wood Community Grants Project Manager, community groups have until this Sunday, the 31st of October 2021 to apply with applications assessed by an independent panel of judges thereafter. Megan explains:

“The Responsible Wood Community Grants Program is a good opportunity for community groups to obtain support to undertake small-scale projects,” said Megan.

“We are excited to see what ideas will be proposed, which could include an application from a Men’s Shed to build a picnic area or from a bush walking or bike club to build or restore walking or bike tracks. Local Landcare groups could also apply for a grant to improve forest connectivity,” she said.

Following the application process an announcement of successful applicants is expected to be made in November 2021 with projects to be completed by the end of May 2022.

Applications will only be accepted from local community groups, not-for-profit organisations, registered charities or schools or education institutions.

For more information, including a copy of the application form, please visit the Responsible Wood Community Grants webpage and direct all enquiries to [email protected]
