Design meets Buildability meets Price

At the time of writing, New Zealanders have experienced both the fury of Cyclone Gabrielle and the horror of the ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ downpour and floods. Our thoughts are with all our fellow Kiwis as they re-group and work through the aftermath.

It is ironic that the theme for this month’s newsletter is ‘Teamwork’.

The rewards are evident when a construction company and architect work in-team early into the planning stages.

Those early stages are exciting stages. They are filled with creativity and promise. A pair of neutral eyes can keep the dream alive by discerning unseen intricacies such as buildability and price.

At JMC Build, our goal is to breathe life into the design and make it a reality.

So, a seat at the table early in the discussion means we have the chance to sit and listen. We will understand if the project is a forever-home, a growing family or an investment rental project.

We will know which specs are needs and which specs are wants.

Rapport between design and build, means minimising risk and having time to find creative work-arounds. A can-do attitude uses time to look for solutions rather than explanations.
