Inspired by Queensland’s iconic statement – “Beautiful one day, perfect the next” - Australian outdoor exterior specialists Artisan Exterior have expanded the business with a new Fortitude Valley showroom, set to be launched in July.

“The Queensland market presents a fantastic opportunity for us to share our innovative range with beautiful textures, surfaces and a colour range perfect for Queensland’s warm climate and outdoor living lifestyle,” says Craig Howard, Artisan Exterior’s Managing Director. 

Queensland has always boasted a solid architectural and design community, with its sunnier climate naturally leaning the audience towards beautiful outdoor spaces and products.

So it made sense for Artisan Exterior to expand the business to the Sunshine Coast, building a unique space designed specifically for the architectural and design community and their customers.

Like its sister showrooms in New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory, the Brisbane showroom will showcase its core range of textures, surfaces, and colours most suited for the Queensland lifestyle.

Each of Artisan Exterior’s innovative range of carefully selected floor, wall and pool tiles are installed throughout the space. The display is a live visual of what the products look like when installed, presenting their stunning surfaces and the range of formats and finishes available, making for an easy selection process.

“Our clients can touch and feel the various textures and see the detailed characteristics of our products as they walk through the showroom,” adds Craig.

The team at Artisan Exterior have noticed trends in the market moving towards natural products. Indeed, consumers are doing more research before purchasing, strongly considering how outdoor products are sourced and crafted, as well as their end life regarding sustainability.

“Our pool tile range has been highly sought after as it’s made from recycled glass. Hisbalit Spanish Glass pool tiles and our mosaic range, exclusive to Artisan Exterior, are made from 99% recycled glass with a breakthrough thermo polymer backing system that is 100% adherable, removing any concern of potential pop-offs with the mosaics,” he explains. 

The team says the second most significant trend is taking inspiration from nature within the home.

“This has expanded beyond feature walls and is now being used in bathrooms and other areas of the home to add earthy textures throughout, bringing a deeper connection to nature.”

“Our Kahvi crazy paving was used in a recent project by Marvel Landscapes and has also created a great little stir in the market, giving the extra nudge to add exterior materials inside the home to bring more of that natural, earthy feel.“

With the team gearing up for the launch of their new flagship showroom in Brisbane next month, it’s all hands-on-deck as they are on the road dropping off samples, taking orders and organising deliveries from their local warehouse for projects across Northern New South Wales and throughout Queensland.

The other key focus for Artisan Exterior is product development. The team continuously researches and sources innovative products that break the mould of traditional textures and surfaces within the industry. This helps them expand and refine their range to provide clients with more variety suitable for Australia’s outdoor lifestyle.
