Littlehampton Bricks and Pavers has survived two world wars and the Great Depression. Originally established as a manufacturer of fire bricks in the late 19th century, the 120-year-old company now stands where the first brick worker’s hut was erected in South Australia’s Littlehampton, and produces traditional handcrafted small-batch kiln-fired boutique bricks and pavers in a range of colours, sizes and finishes.
In fact, bricks and pavers by Littlehampton Bricks and Pavers have been used in high-profile projects such as Australia’s Taronga Zoo in Sydney and Disneyland in Shanghai, China. A bespoke brick can make all the difference to the appearance of your home or structure, offering a more elevated and personalised finish.
The premium clay bricks and pavers, made from local natural clays and minerals, are manufactured using a traditional small-batch kiln method. This costly and labour-intensive process that fires bricks for seven days is what allows Littlehampton Bricks and Pavers to create the bespoke colour variations and characteristics the brand has become known for.
Littlehampton Bricks and Pavers products take six weeks to make from extrusion to drying and firing, and are hand-graded – one by one – to ensure optimal quality and style. As a result, no two bricks are the same; each brick is heavily textured and richly coloured with a unique pattern. Typical mass-produced bricks are fired in a conveyor belt kiln for a much shorter period of time, resulting in a much more pedestrian brick.
Littlehampton Bricks and Pavers offers bricks of different shapes, sizes, styles, finishes and colours, an offering that sets the brand apart from others on the market. While the products can be tweaked to suit some creative applications and projects, bespoke bricks can only be created for exclusive or large-scale projects due to the manufacturing process that can take up to a year to perfect. However, if achieving a truly unique and irreplicable brick structure is your desire, Littlehampton Bricks and Pavers can service your project.

The pavers produced by Littlehampton Bricks and Pavers are made from natural clay and water, and are fired at more than 1100 degrees celsius, making them slip and fade resistant, strong enough to be used in heavy load areas and easy to maintain. Cleaning requires nothing more than mild detergent and a little scrubbing but in most cases, they can just be hosed down or swept clean. Furthermore, as no chemicals are used during the manufacturing process, the pavers are recyclable and environmentally friendly. Better yet, the kilns are fueled by recycled waste-oil and the Littlehampton Bricks and Pavers factory is powered by solar panels.
