Launched in 2023, Lucino Vanities is the brainchild of architectural stone benchtop experts, Lucino. With the same high-quality stone top finishes you love in the kitchen, now available in the bathroom, the business is helping clients bring their luxury bathroom dreams to life. ArchiPro spoke with the team from Lucino Vanities to learn more.

If you want the high-end, timeless look of an architectural stone benchtop in your kitchen, it follows that you would want the same luxury experience in your bathroom. This is the rationale behind Lucino Vanities, an off-shoot of the premium architectural stone benchtop business, Lucino.

Started by Roger Syme, Lucino has been a staple in the kitchen benchtop market for over 20 years. Identifying an opportunity to repurpose the stone offcuts from Lucino’s benchtop production, Lucino Vanities was founded in 2023, offering a luxury, sustainable vanity option that filled a gap in the market.

“Our ranges are designed with understated luxury, attainability, and simplicity top of mind,” says Andrew Muir of Lucino Vanities. “The products were developed out of an opportunity to re-use stone offcuts from Lucino benchtops, but we had also noticed a gap in the market; it was difficult for people to find a one-stop-shop solution for high-quality bathroom vanities suitable for residential and commercial builds. There was also a need for premium, high-quality vanities that incorporated architectural stone tops.”

Going above and beyond

Stone is the key point of difference for Lucino Vanities, with the quality of their stone benchtops a source of pride for the business. However, it wouldn’t be a Lucino venture if there wasn’t an extra level of care and attention paid to their customers’ needs.

“Stone is a beautifully robust natural material. It’s a surface of beauty, a symbol of strength, with an unparalleled resilience,” Muir says. “Of course, Lucino Vanities had to take things a step further, adding a completely custom option to their offering on top of their standard collection. From the colours, stone type, bowl design and tapware, you can create a vanity that perfectly suits your project and budget.”

Manufacturing takes place in Lucino’s Christchurch factory, with most elements of design and production completed in-house to maintain their high standards of quality and precision. Once an order has been placed, the business aims to design, construct and ship the completed vanity within three to ten working days — a feat almost unheard of in the industry; all thanks to their strong and reliable supply chain.

Affordability is another key focus for Lucino.

“We aim to transform everyday environments into extraordinary spaces that inspire and elevate, and we want to offer this to everyone without compromising on our unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality products,” Muir explains.

Form and function combine to offer a beautiful user experience.

Discover the Lucino Vanities range

“We have such a variety of designs and styles to suit such a wide range of tastes,” Muir says.

Characterised by clean lines, simple forms, and unique cabinet textures, the Interior Range is your go-to for modern, minimalist bathrooms. Following a similar minimalist approach, the Designer Range offers sleek, monochromatic styles with elegant double sink options.

A standout in the Designer Range, the Beaumont is a wall-mounted double-drawer vanity with cabinets available in the beautifully vibrant Resene Ultra Marine — a rich cobalt blue.

For those looking to make a moment of their bathroom vanity, the Architectural Range features pieces such as The Ledenfield — a statement vanity with a double bowl design and an impressive 300 mm tall stone top that appears to float above an American Oak open shelf.

And, of course, if you can’t find a vanity that suits your specific needs in their collection, they will happily assist you with a custom design.

Though Lucino Vanities is still in its infancy, the backing of 20 years of business knowledge garnered by the Lucino kitchen benchtop team has set them up for success.

“The future of Lucino Vanities is bright,” Muir states. “Our commercial building partners that we have worked with through our kitchen and benchtop business are using more and more of our vanities in their developments, which is exciting. Our customers just love the customisable options, and they can’t believe how quickly we can deliver vanities at such a high quality!”

Residential customers have been singing their praises too, with glowing feedback flowing in.

“People are loving the stunning results they are seeing in their bathrooms after installing a Lucino vanity. Our architectural stone vanities really help take bathroom design to a new level.”
