Product Spotlight: Pillar Series

Pillar by name and by nature, the new series of indoor bioethanol fires from EcoSmart Fire is an impressive, industrial-style contemporary open fireplace that instantly adds a high-design feel to indoor rooms.

Pillar fires come in two different sizes – 3T (tall) and 3L (low) – and are ideal for pairing with other furniture or using as standalone statement fires. Their column-style bases and large suspended glass surrounds (similar to a lampshade) give them a lamp-like aesthetic, which enhances the flame illumination and makes them perfect as a versatile floor or side lamp.

“They’re the ideal modern fireplace solution for decorating a loft, home, or inner-city apartment or condo,” says Stephane Thomas, Director of MAD Design, whose brand portfolio includes EcoSmart Fire. “They’re really cool, edgy and full of character, and feature beautifully alongside other furniture or, if you want to decorate or define a room, you can use them as a standalone fire to create a striking visual interest. Pillar also features a slim-line compact shape, which means they’re well suited to integrate with any size or style room. And while they are portable – enabling you to easily relocate them to different rooms.

Each of the fires combines various textural elements including elegant metallic trim, brushed brass bracket accents, and suspended Boroscolite glass fire screen/‘lampshade’, all of which inject a warm and inviting feel and add depth and dimension to interior spaces. There are also three surround finishes to choose from: Real Oak veneer, white Carrara marble from Italy, and black Nero Portoro from Turkey. And at their core are Grade 304 stainless steel burners, which come with optional black ceramic coating.

In addition to creating a strong stylistic impact, Pillar fires also respect the environment. They’re fuelled by carbon-neutral, energy-efficient e-NRG bioethanol, which burns clean and gives you an open fire without harmful emissions, soot, embers or mess. And they give you a vibrant orange flame for up to 11 hours straight. What’s more, the user-friendly ignition system means it only takes a few moments to illuminate and warm a room.
