We are excited to announce that our RE/8 mesh has won in two categories at the 2024 Architizer A+Products Awards!
The product was the Jury Winner in the Building Envelopes, Cladding & Roofing category as well as picking up Popular Choice Winner in Sustainable Design.
The A+Product Awards honors the elements behind the globe’s most inspiring contemporary buildings — as chosen by the architects and design professionals that specify them every day.
In June last year we announced our new product, RE/8 Bio-circular Architectural Mesh. It was a major shift for Kaynemaile and moves their products further away from fossil-fuel based raw materials to bio-mass raw materials. RE/8 Bio-circular Architectural Mesh offers architects, designers and constructors a product made from a single sustainable polymer that is not only beautiful and functional, but also has the best possible environmental credentials for polycarbonate at this time.
RE/8 offers a reduction of the carbon footprint of Kaynemaile’s previous raw material by up to 80 percent, increasing Kaynemaile’s circular economy efforts while maintaining proven functionality.
RE/8 is ISCC PLUS-certified and LEED enabled and uses a revolutionary mass-balanced polymer from industry leaders Covestro.
This product is the result of Kaynemaile’s 20-year commitment to circular economy practices, which commenced with a nil-waste process with full recyclability.
“From the very start we have sought the solution that technology is now able to deliver,” says Kayne Horsham, Kaynemaile’s CEO and co-founder.
Kaynemaile’s RE/8 offers up to 70% solar reduction for exterior applications combined with significant airflow through its unique 3-D structure. RE/8 Bio-circular Architectural Mesh is not only a stand-out exterior and interior product, but is also 100% chemically identical to our previous material, 100% recyclable, supports GHG reduction targets, and is changing the way our industry thinks of architectural mesh.
