As learning environment specialists, multidisciplinary designers MODE work with clients to develop education facilities that are innovative, flexible and adaptable—an essential process to ensure a whole-of-life approach is considered from project initiation to completion.

Rapid changes in educational models and delivery methods ensure that requirements will change
over the lifespan of any building, either through changing pedagogies, advancing technologies,
or demographic shifts.

The challenge for MODE is to create learning environments that are flexible within day-to-day use,
and adaptable to changes in future requirements.

Innovation and creativity play a key role in this design, with increasing evidence that the learning outcomes
of students are often related to the quality of the built form and spaces where they learn.
