Buying a new bed can be intimidating – we’ve probably all been in a store playing musical mattresses in an attempt to find one that might work for us. But the experience doesn’t need to be like this, and it certainly isn’t at Sleep Gallery.

At the Sleep Gallery showroom, the space isn’t crowded or overwhelming. Instead, you can expect an intimate experience where you can find the right product.

A family owned and operated small business, Narae Young and husband Adam Young are the faces behind the brand. Bringing over 20 years of knowledge and experience, the pair understand the importance of finding the right bed for each individual that ensures a perfect night’s sleep.

“People think that beds are really complicated, and they aren’t – they shouldn’t be,” says Narae. “They really should be about what’s comfortable and what you enjoy sleeping on, and the only way to do that is to lie on them and try them in store. If you’re in a really busy environment, with bright lights, it’s really hard to assess that.”

An affordable, bespoke service

Handpicked by Narae and Adam, the brands stocked at Sleep Gallery are “tried and true”.

“We’ve seen the evolution of good beds and what that means. It’s not just what’s going to work immediately for the customer, but how it’s going to perform over time, ensuring that we’re providing a product that we believe in and we stock a wide range of some of New Zealand’s most reputable bed and mattress brands,” says Narae.

“Beds are a significant lifestyle investment. Having spent decades living and breathing the industry, we offer personalised guidance to ensure each person who comes through our doors gets the most out of their investment and gets the sleep experience they have been looking for.”

And this is what it all comes down to for the Sleep Gallery team – going a step beyond to provide exceptional service.

At the end of the day, it’s really important to find a bed that you love and feel comfortable spending money on.

Finding what works for you

“At the end of the day, it’s really important to find a bed that you love and feel comfortable spending money on. You don’t necessarily need to buy the most expensive bed in the store for it to be the best,” says Narae, explaining that the best bed is what’s right for the end user – which can mean many things.

“We work with a lot of vulnerable customers with various health concerns, so trying to find something that’s going to give them better care and quality of life during the day, because they’re getting better support in the evenings, is really important.

“It’s not just about what brand is best, what bed is best, it really is tailored to the individual and listening to what they need.”

Finding the right colour, solution, size and height – all of that is just as important as finding a good mattress.

Custom solutions

To help meet the needs of clients, Sleep Gallery’s products can be adjusted. Within the range of headboards and bases found on the showroom floor, items can be tailored to the specific size, height and fabric that’s required.

Also a qualified interior designer, this aspect of crafting the perfect bed is important to Narae: “Finding the right colour, solution, size and height – all of that is just as important as finding a good mattress.”

And once you’ve found the right bed, the quality service only continues with Sleep Gallery’s experienced in-house team able to personally deliver and install from Taupō to Kerikeri.

If you’re looking for bedding solutions for your own home, or to specify for a project, get in touch with Narae and Adam, or visit the Sleep Gallery Auckland showroom.
