That’s a Wrap for 2025: A Year of Connection, Craftsmanship and New Beginnings

What an exceptional year 2025 has been. From unveiling our stunning new Artarmon showroom to connecting with design professionals at Marmomac in Italy, we've strengthened our position as Sydney's trusted partner for premium natural stone. This year brought inspiring partnerships, remarkable projects, and meaningful connections with architects, designers, and homeowners who share our passion for natural materials and thoughtful design. Take a journey through Sareen Stone's 2025 highlights and discover the moments that shaped this remarkable year.

A New Home in Artarmon
2025 marked one of our most exciting milestones – the opening of our new showroom and headquarters in Artarmon.
In just one month, from March to April, we transformed a concrete shell into a considered, design-led space at 43 Herbert Street, Artarmon. The space blends natural materials with an industrial aesthetic – timber slat walls, an exposed ceiling and abundant natural light create a calm, contemporary environment where every stone reveals its true character.
Designed specifically for architects, interior designers and homeowners, the showroom features curated displays and dedicated consultation zones, encouraging visitors to touch, feel and understand how each stone performs in real-world applications. What began as a commercial space has been completely reimagined to reflect the textures, tones and tactile qualities that define the Sareen Stone range.

Grand Opening Celebration
In May, we officially opened the doors with an evening that brought together clients, suppliers and friends from across the design community. It was a warm and lively night – full of conversation, laughter and the shared excitement of seeing the space come to life.
Guests explored the showroom at their own pace, discussing materials, design ideas and upcoming projects. It was a wonderful reminder that the heart of our work lies in the relationships we build and the moments we share with the people who shape our industry.
As the first official event in our new home, the celebration marked the beginning of a fresh chapter — a place designed to welcome the design community, inspire creativity and support meaningful collaboration.

Industry Engagement
Landscape Design Institute Evening
In July, we welcomed members of the Landscape Design Institute and industry professionals for an evening focused on pool barrier updates and poolside planting options. Karen Staunton-Ross shared her expertise on changes to pool fence regulations and non-climbable zones, while LDI Director Vanessa Walsh contributed broader landscape perspectives.
TAFE Students Excursion
In November, Claudia Crawley, owner of Grindstone Landscapes and Ryde TAFE lecturer, brought her Diploma of Landscape Design students for an excursion. In their final term, the students joined Gary Bazzana for an in-depth exploration of natural stone selection, finishes, formats and installation considerations.
Seeing the showroom activated through industry learning, conversation and curiosity reminded us why we do what we do – support the design community with knowledge and expertise.
Projects That Inspired Us
This year brought a series of standout residential projects that showcased the versatility and beauty of natural stone across a range of architectural styles.

Wanderlust in Vaucluse
Conway & Wise drew inspiration from Morocco, Santorini, and Los Angeles for this coastal sanctuary. Crema Vialle Limestone flows throughout the kitchen, butler’s pantry, master ensuite, entry, balconies, and pool surrounds. At the heart of this home sits a four-metre curved stone island bench – sculptural, refined and unforgettable.

Narrabundah Haven
Featured in Inside Out magazine, this Canberra home blends mid-century warmth with contemporary design. Luna Chiaro Limestone creates a seamless indoor–outdoor flow. As Dana describes, “I love the light colour – it’s cool underfoot and has enough texture to make it practical.” For her, the stone evokes a feeling of being “eternally on holiday.”

Gable House, Kensington
Designed by SSD Studios, Gable House blends Chinese and Irish heritage with the proportions of European barn-style architecture and the openness of tropical-modern design. Inside and out, Luna Chiaro Limestone provides a soft, neutral foundation — harmonising interior spaces with outdoor patios and pool areas. The result is a home where cultural layers, architectural elegance, and natural materials come together in seamless cohesion.

Phillip Bay Coastal Sanctuary
Design Native crafted this project with clean lines, subtle texture, and a refined neutral palette. Luna Chiaro Limestone in Alfresco finish anchors the pool and entertaining areas, while Crazy Paving creates organic movement throughout the landscape. Custom formats included 800×400mm and 1000×1000mm pavers, pool coping, and free-form Crazy Paving.

Tweed Heads Riverside Oasis
ILKA Interior Design Studio transformed an irregular 130m² pool and spa using Crema Vialle Limestone in Alfresco finish. ILK Tiling delivered exceptional craftsmanship, handling curved coping, drop-downs and precise stone placement despite challenging monsoon conditions. The result is a serene, elegant outdoor retreat.

Clontarf House
Shortlisted for the IDEA Awards (Residential Single), this extraordinary family home – brought to life by Rich Carr Architects, Alexandra Kidd Interior Design and Wyer & Co Landscape Design – showcases Tavira Limestone throughout. Built by Airth Building, the home flows seamlessly from interior floors to outdoor entertaining areas. Sculptural circular openings define the façade, while six beautifully detailed bathrooms feature terrazzo, marble and soft daylight filtered through skylights. Pablo Veiga’s photography captures the home’s refined materiality and sense of calm.
Industry Leadership
Marmomac 2025: Global Inspiration, Local Vision
In September, Duncan and Ali attended Marmomac in Verona, Italy, joining over 1,500 exhibitors from more than 50 countries. Three key trends stood out:
- natural texture taking center stage with softly honed and leathered finishes
- sustainability embedded through recycled composites and water recovery systems
- technology supporting craftsmanship through digital fabrication
As Duncan reflects, “What’s exciting is how technology is enhancing, not replacing, craftsmanship. It helps architects and designers to dream bigger, to create complex forms while improving efficiency and reducing waste.”
Thought Leadership with Supplier Magazine
Our partnership with Supplier Magazine continued to strengthen this year, with a series of features that explored the value of natural stone in contemporary design.
Across the February/March issue, we examined why natural stone remains such a trusted material — from its sustainability credentials to the way it ages gracefully and brings authenticity to both residential and commercial projects.
Later in the year, our article “Stone That Connects” focused on seamless indoor–outdoor living, highlighting how natural stone enhances flow, cohesion and long-term performance in modern Australian homes.
We also contributed insights from Marmomac 2025, sharing global trends in texture, sustainability and the evolving interplay between technology and craftsmanship. Together, these articles reinforced our commitment to educating the design community and championing the role of natural stone as a timeless, future-focused material.

ArchiPro remains an important channel for connecting with architects, designers and homeowners seeking high-quality materials for their residential and commercial projects.
Product Innovation
Porta Creme Limestone
This elegant Porta Creme Limestone joined our collection in 2025, offering designers and architects another sophisticated option for creating timeless spaces with soft, neutral tones. The stone’s refined aesthetic complements both contemporary and traditional design approaches.

Silhouette Granite Tumbled Cobblestones
Crafted from dense mid-grey granite, Silhouette Tumbled Cobblestones feature a softly weathered, flamed and tumbled finish with P5 slip resistance. Mounted on mesh sheets in a brick bond pattern for efficient installation, the 90×90×30mm format is ideal for driveways, pathways, courtyards and high-traffic outdoor environments.

Digital Innovation
