Here is our step to step guide...

Estimate

Once you’ve met with our design and build consultant to share the vision you have for your home and discuss your requirements in detail, they will do research on your land and assist with a site check, if applicable. When this is completed and costings have been done, you will be presented with a build estimate that includes all the numbers you need to consider before taking the next step. All your personal specifications will be included, along with details of whether they can be achieved within your budget. If necessary, alternative options will be provided and discussed.

There is no obligation at the estimate stage. We always allow clients sufficient time to consider their proposal before moving on to the feasibility stage. It is important that our clients to feel comfortable before progressing any further.

Feasibility

At the feasibility stage professionals will be on board to put the puzzle of your project together, including site surveys, Geotech reports, the town planner and of course, the architect. This is when clients will start to see the vision of their home appear on paper – seeing the first draft of the floor plan is certainly one of those magical moments! Our design and build consultant will be there to work with architect and client to ensure every detail is well considered.

Contract

Once the plan is finalised an accurate quote is provided* and the project is ready for a contract. This is a stage filled with slightly boring, but important stuff. At Maddren we take this stage very seriously, so be prepared to sit in your contract meeting for hours (and hours) until you understand every detail you need to know. We also allow plenty of time for legal checks. We want you to be 100% comfortable with your contract and decision to build with Maddren.

Consent and product selections

When the contract is unconditional you enter the most colourful part of the building journey. You will meet our colour consultant and kitchen designer, and start selecting items such as your tiles and bathwares. You will also review your electrical plan with the electrician. And while you do all this fun stuff, we will get on with the working drawings and deal with the council for consents; you will be pleased to know you don’t need to get involved with that part.

Construction to completion

Once your consents have been approved the project will roll into construction. Needless to say, this is the ultimate magical moment of the whole journey. Just remember to bring your gum boots for the site visit. By handover day your house will be sparkling clean and ready for you to move in and enjoy.
