Bert Frank’s Exploration of Light: Introducing VIMA

Words by LightCo

LightCo is pleased to announce the launch of VIMA, a brand-new luxury lighting collection joining the Bert Frank range. Handmade in Bert Frank’s UK workshop, the VIMA collection consists of two pendant lights, a wall light, a floor lamp and a table lamp.

Taking design cues from the elegant arches, strong lines and bold geometric shapes found in Art Deco architecture, classical undertones are reimagined for the modern-day, creating a design with an elegant silhouette that exudes visual drama.

The Vima Pendant Light elegantly floats off twin cords with a soft, double-sided alabaster facade. The opal glass glows from the centre and gives a hint of illumination between the brass blades.

Mirrored on both sides the warm glow from the centre opal glass shades throw highlights across the surface of the stepped alabaster. Between the brass blades, another alabaster piece gently diffuses light.

The Vima XL Pendant Light is made of soft alabaster accompanied by heavy, solid brass pieces and soft, matte glass shades. A true centrepiece inspired by architectural amphitheatres.

The Vima Table Lamp contrasts heavy brushed and bronzed brass, with a soft, double- sided alabaster facade and opal, matte glass glowing from the centre. The perfect centrepiece from every angle.

For a small table lamp, it really makes an impact. The solid brass base grounds the lamp, hand-finished to a dark, aged bronze.

The Vima Wall Light celebrates the smooth lines and natural lustre of arched alabaster, accompanied by heavy, solid brass pieces and soft, matte glass shades.

Exploring the softness of alabaster unveiled new ways of machining natural materials. Smooth curves, thin material thickness and soft reflections help this wall light seem almost flush with the walls surface.

Vima Floor Lamp by Bert Frank is made of soft alabaster accompanied by heavy, solid brass pieces and soft, matte glass shades and features a brushed bronze base.

Staying true to their traditional production methods, whilst continuing to innovate, Vima reflects Bert Frank’s evolving modernity and exploration of light. To view the full Vima collection, click the image below.
