A Pair Of French Regency Palm Tree Chandeliers

$5,450
Gilt Bronze & Crystal Glass

A stunning almost identical pair of French Hollywood Regency Period four arm chandeliers c.1930-40, with solid gilt bronze frames. The central shafts have been embellished with bullrushes and a ribbon terminating at the top with a knot.

There are four palm fronds which are draped with a fringe curtain of saber crystals, creating a wonderful sense of movement. The bottom of the chandeliers have been further adorned with pom poms and tassles which were a common theme in French ornamentation. These have been attributed to Maison Bagues, the famous Paris design house. They have both been re wired to NZ standards.
