Geeso is an Afghani Soufreh kilim. The Soufreh or 'Eating Cloth' was traditionally used on the floor as a table cloth on which plates of food were placed.
The design usually has a plain background containing a zig-zag motif and sometimes with a central medallion.
Today, they make wonderful wall-hangings, however equally can be used as a floor rug. The square shape makes the soufreh a very versatile kilim.
