Care & Maintenance

To keep your garage door functioning optimally and ensure its longevity, regular care and maintenance are essential. Every garage door requires servicing within the first year of installation, followed by ongoing maintenance throughout its lifespan. For detailed guidance, please refer to our care and maintenance guide within our Terms & Conditions, which highlights key areas to monitor and offers tips on how to address common issues.

Compatible Openers

We recommend the Tempo ATS-2 as our premium garage door opener, offering smooth and reliable operation along with excellent value. Features include a heavy-duty motor, fast opening speed, and soft start/stop technology to reduce stress on the door. The opener also comes with 2 Tri-Tran+ premium remote controls and a wall-mounted remote. For additional smart features, the Syncro ATS-3 offers real-time notifications, activity logs, and service reminders, all accessible through a mobile app. For larger or custom-designed doors, the Smart Pro SD09 heavy-duty motor is our most powerful and secure option, featuring battery backup and safety PE beams for added security.

We also support the Merlin Opener Range; please contact us for more information.

Compatible Insulation

We offer a range of insulation solutions to improve the thermal and acoustic performance of your garage door. Our standard option is GreenStuf® polyester insulation, a high-performance, non-irritant material made in New Zealand using recycled fibres. This can be installed on its own or pre-backed with either ACM or powdercoated aluminium for a clean, durable interior finish.

We can also tailor insulation solutions to suit the specific needs of your project. If you're looking for something outside of our standard offering, let us know and we’ll be happy to discuss what’s possible.

Finish Options

Finished in high-quality powdercoat, with a wide range of colours available through trusted suppliers such as Dulux and Interpon. Both offer extensive ranges from classic neutrals to bold architectural tones, with matte, satin or textured finishes. Powdercoat warranties vary depending on the product line, with options offering 10, 15, 20 or up to 25 years of durability and colour retention. We’ll work with you to select the most suitable finish for your project based on location, design and environmental exposure.

Customisation Options

Every project is different, and we offer a wide range of customisation options to ensure your garage door complements your build perfectly. From tailored sizing and layout to bespoke profile designs, we can adapt cladding direction, spacing, and material finishes to suit. Colours and coatings can be matched to other joinery or façade elements, and optional features such as integrated ventilation, window panels, or upgraded insulation can be incorporated. If you have a unique design vision, we’re always happy to explore what’s possible.

Nationwide distribution

For projects outside of our regular service area, we offer flexible freight options across New Zealand. Whether you're based rurally or working on a remote site, we can arrange safe delivery of your door—whether it's panels only or a complete package including tracks, hardware, and motor. Doors are packaged securely to minimise the risk of damage during transit, with crate or reinforced wrapping options depending on the finish and distance. Let us know your location early in the process so we can advise on lead times, freight costs, and any special handling requirements.

Installation

To ensure optimal performance and warranty coverage, this door must be installed by an approved garage door installer.
