Blended Schist Cladding

New Zealand schist shares a common character (distinctive layering, a silver-grey base and a natural linear form), so stone from different quarries sits comfortably together.

Because we source schist from a range of quarries and process it into our lightweight cladding, we can create a custom blend to suit your design. That might mean echoing the colours of the surrounding landscape, complementing other materials in the build, or matching existing stonework on the site.

Creating a blend starts with a conversation about what you want to achieve, using reference images, colour palettes and examples of schist blends we've supplied. From there we put together a suggested blend and, for larger projects, make a sample panel so you can see how it will come together. Once the stones and proportions are agreed, we produce and supply to that specification, and work with the stonemason to make sure the finished installation achieves the look you planned.
