Eric Gizard finds his inspiration in contemporary culture and the visual arts. A keen observer of international trends, it is not surprising that an aesthetic eclectism can be seen across his varied projects. Consistency reigns though in the form of simple shapes and a contemporary framework of lightness and fluidity. Trademark characteristics of his work are striking contrasts, clashing materials and colours, an emphasis on chiaroscuro and a harmonious fusion of tradition and modernity.
