An ideal solution for roofing and wall cladding systems that demand a contemporary and sophisticated style, COLORSTEEL® Matte incorporates microwrinkle technology to create a more textured finish with both subtlety and depth. This new innovation offers the same quality you expect from COLORSTEEL® products – it is made, tested and trusted for New Zealand conditions.
COLORSTEEL® Matte is available in FlaxPod®, TidalDrift® and StonePeak™, bringing new depth and character to the COLORSTEEL® colour range. Designed for roofing, wall cladding, fascia and rainwater applications, COLORSTEEL® Matte will elevate your exteriors and help create a sleek, modern look. This contemporary finish is especially stylish when paired with a tray profile. It can also be used with trapezoidal and corrugated profiles.

COLORSTEEL® Matte is suitable for a wide range of roll-formed roof and wall claddings, rainwater accessories and general building products. Unlike gloss, semi-gloss or even low-gloss surfaces, COLORSTEEL® Matte has a soft, textured aesthetic and a depth of colour not seen in other products.

- COLORSTEEL® Matte uses microwrinkle technology to evenly diffuse light, resulting in an appearance that is much less reflective than typical gloss surfaces
- Available in three colours: FlaxPod®, TidalDrift® and StonePeak™
- COLORSTEEL® Matte is ideal for roofing, cladding, fascia, rainwater goods and garage panel door applications
- Available in a range of profiles
Performance Attributes:
- Steel substrate may be either G300 or G550 consistent with AS 1397:2021
- Metallic coating is consistent with AS 1397:2021
- COLORSTEEL® Maxam™ is Product Type 6 consistent with AS/NZS 2728:2013
- Tolerances are consistent with the requirements of AS/NZS 1365:1996
Limitations on Use:
COLORSTEEL® Matte products are not recommended for the following applications:
- Intensive animal shelters, where the build-up of alkaline fumes may occur
- Swimming Pools, and other structures with continually wet internal environments
- Buildings with harsh internal environments such as galvanising plants, tanneries and meat works
- Fertiliser works
- Embedded in concrete
- In contact with soil, bark or similar
- Geothermal areas

Copper or brass pipes must not be allowed to discharge onto or come into contact with COLORSTEEL® pre-painted steel products. The use of other materials in proximity to COLORSTEEL® Matte must be carefully considered – the COLORSTEEL® Incompatible Materials bulletin should be used as reference.

When ordering your COLORSTEEL® pre-painted steel roof or rainwater products, remember to request your COLORSTEEL® warranty from your supplier.
Maintenance:
Areas of COLORSTEEL® Matte that are not regularly washed with rain water, must be routinely washed to remove surface deposits to ensure satisfactory life is obtained from the product.
