Corten – a striking natural finish porcelain tile suitable for commercial and exterior applications – is part of the Metallica collection from Tau Ceramica. Corten’s look is inspired by corten steel, the predominant metal alloy in modern sculpture. This rectified edge tile is available in multiple sizes, and is designed to incorporate ceramics into the realm of creative architecture. The reactivity of the glaze along with the sophisticated glaze application method result in a tile that has huge natural variation making it truly unique. Corten is made using a porcelain body oxide tinted to co-ordinate with the glaze using Tau’s unique silica-alumina metal glaze technology.
