Create HPL offers a selection of pre-finished Latvian Birch plywood panels, bonded with a smooth matt anti-fingerprint laminate by Unilin in Belgium. The range is made up of twelve colours, each chosen to reflect the hues found along Aotearoa's coastlines.
These panels are part of our Plytech Green range, created using Bio based and renewable lignin.

Create HPL – Matt panels are now manufactured using bio-based lignin glue replacing traditional fossil phenol to create a more environmentally friendly panel.
Lignin is a recyclable and ecologically friendly product, found in the cell walls of almost all dry-land plants and is a by-product of the paper kraft-pulping process. It is a wood component that gives plants shape and stability as a kind of connector, solidifying the cell walls.
Using bio-based lignin in the manufacturing process significantly reduces the carbon footprint of the Create HPL – Matt panels from production to final end-use applications — without compromising quality or technical performance of the panel.
