R6.8 Double-Layer System
The R6.8 double-layer system is the first BRANZ appraised double layer insulation system in the New Zealand market. Through the double-layering of R3.4 ceiling insulation pads, we can increase the thermal efficiency of your ceiling to R6.8. This is above the required R6.6.

The R6.6 double-layer system is designed for use in the ceiling of residential homes. This system is suitable for a trussed and steel stud roofing set up.
Through the double-layering of two R3.4 ceiling insulation pads, you can achieve an R value of 6.8. This is above the required R6.6 in the updated H1 energy efficiency clause.
