A French mahogany Louis XVI style “bouillotte” table, dating from c. 1910 to 1920, featuring a white and grey veined marble top encircled by a pierced brass gallery. The term “bouillotte” (pronounced ‘boo YAHT’) refers to a popular card game in 18th-century France, reminiscent of modern poker. The table stands elegantly on four reeded, tapered legs adorned with brass sabots. The table has recently been ebonised, showcasing a sleek black semi-gloss finish. The marble top complements the open brass gallery beautifully, while the piece includes two drawers and two leaf pull-outs lined with green embossed leather. This  table is perfect for placing beside or between a pair of chairs, serving as an ideal sofa table.
