TEXO Systems is a revolutionary new “pre-stressed” fabric panel system. The patented panel system comprises an extruded aluminium frame & silicone elastomer that can be used on a wide variety of textiles to form flat pre-stressed, light-weight, fabric panels.
Fabric Structures has teamed up with Tensoforma, the developers of TEXO, to supply TEXO to the New Zealand & Australian markets. Tensoforma is an internationally recognized Italian fabric structure company, who have “tried & tested” TEXO throughout Europe and now provide their wealth of experience and knowledge to support TEXO “down-under”.
The versatility and modular nature of the TEXO panel system truly bring textiles into mainstream architecture and construction, with a wide range of exciting applications. Applications so far include:
- Cladding & facades.
- Retrofitting & re-imaging older buildings.
- Building sunscreens.
- Building signage, graphics & branding. Internal partitioning.
- Ceiling panels – Acoustic & or high translucent.
- Exhibitions – Building, stand, etc.
Historically, fabric architecture has required the design form to have double curvature (i.e. anticlastic shapes) to create a stable structure. TEXO now allows designers the ability to work with textiles in a flat form, and removes the need for complicated and heavy structural framing, tensioning and fixing systems.

We are also the local distributors for a range of architectural membrane products.
From fixed frame canopies, cable tensioned structures, insulated enclosures and facades, we deliver fabric solutions for commercial buildings, aquatic centres, outdoor sport and recreation spaces, events and exhibitions, across a range of sectors.
Our highly-skilled, multidisciplinary team (based across two sites in Whangarei and West Auckland), provides expertise across every aspect of production, from a technical understanding of specialist textiles, best practice design/engineering processes, building consent applications, through to project delivery.
