Ferritic Stainless Steel

Wakefield Metals has worked with top mills to produce new grades such as 445M2 and 404GP approved by NZSSDA, the following grades were subject to a case study carried out by NZSSDA in comparison to 304 and 316 in NZ coastal environment and based on the case study their workability and corrosion resistance was superior to 304 and 316.

Marine grade stainless steel 316 has been around for a long time. Now there’s an alternative, that’s even better – grade 445M2 from Wakefield Metals. Developed in Japan, with a successful track record in Australasia and New Zealand, 445M2 offers real advantages over 316.
