Flock Procession by Chloe June Summerhayes

$4,000
Oil On Canvas Framed
W1900 x H950 mm

The procession marches to the edifice. Natural and architectural, the forest of lambs and flesh flickers yellows and billows smoke.

Chloe June Summerhay's practice is informed by questions and ideas around the cyclical nature of ourselves and our environments. Depictions of Rubenesque putti reappear throughout the series suggesting narrative and inviting interpretation. Despite alluding to canonical narrative within an historical context, this imagery is, primarily, a starting point for an exercise in painterly abstraction. Led by process, the work arrives somewhere between figuration and abstraction. The process is meditative, repetitive and shadowed by the pressures of time.

Artfull.co.nz is the premier online-first curated platform to discover and buy original works directly from emerging and established artists and makers across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Founded in 2022 by Jessica Agoston Cleary, an experienced curator, writer and public art manager, and John Barnett luminary film producer, business entrepreneur and passionate art collector, Artfull bridges the gap between the artist and the collector through the power of technology.

Artfull's ethos and mission is present the depth and breadth of incredible visual art by artists you know, and introduce you to many you don't. In bringing art on-line, Artfull seeks to demystify art and support collectors to build collections that reflect who they are.

Our services extend art consulting within both residential and commercial contexts, full collection curating and acquisition, facilitation of artist studio visits, and online 'art collecting 101' sessions either one-on-one or in groups.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
