Using luxuriously thick yacht rope as a key design element, Milan-based designer Toan Nguyen created a stunning debut collection for Brown Jordan inspired by the lines and angles of the letter “H”, the first letter of the Spanish word “Hoy” meaning “today."

About Toan Ngyuen

Toan was born and raised in France and has lived in Milan for the past 26 years. After a decade working alongside Italian architect Antonio Citterio, he founded his own studio in Milan in 2009 and subsequently embarked on a series of successful collaborations with several major brands on furniture, lighting, ceramics, and technological products. The designer believes in prioritizing the essential detail: not just the aesthetics of an object, but the construction elements that make it a success right off the factory floor. Working across categories allows him to approach each design problem with a deeper well of references.

Brown Jordan could see the passion in Mary to deliver great results while still maintaining their design integrity. They soon realised they would be well represented and the relationship began.
