High Stool Backrest by Mater

Space Copenhagen designed the High Stool with a new backrest — hence the name High Stool Backrest — which builds on High Stool’s beautifully fluid, sculptural and archetypal character, adding a generously rounded backrest for a heightened sense of comfort. The backrest itself is upholstered in soft durable leather and is fully supportive and comfortable so that it outweighs the need for armrests.

When designing High Stool Backrest made from sustainably sourced wood, Space Copenhagen explored classic, simple and sculptural motifs. The collection is available in solid oak or beech wood with a backrest steam bent in veneer. Perfect for both residential and hospitality use.

The wood is sustainably sourced from well-managed forests, honouring the UN Sustainable Development Goals of protecting “Life on Land” (SDGs 15) and “Responsible Consumption and Production” (SDGs 12) while supporting “Partnership for the Goals” (SDGs 17).

Available in 69 or 79 cm seat height.

About the
Seller

Established in 1997, Cult (formerly Corporate Culture) was formed to provide not only exceptional designer furniture, but also a high level of customer service, a combination not yet experienced in the Australian marketplace.

In his endeavours since then, company founder and director Richard Munao have built one of the most comprehensive collections of brand partners in Australia and New Zealand. Cult has grown from its first location in Sydney to now include showrooms in Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland as well as distributors in Canberra, Adelaide and Perth.

In addition to founding Cult, and supporting strong international partners like Fritz Hansen, Carl Hansen & Son, &Tradition, HAY and Gubi, in 2017 Cult launched Nau, a contemporary collection of Australian made furniture, lighting and accessories by a collective of Australia's most curious, talented and spirited designers.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
