Kobe is a simple, yet interconnected chair with a solid wood frame, designed to be perceived as a homogeneous object. The arms, legs, seat and splat aren’t separate parts, but a harmonious whole, inspired by the Japanese aesthetic concept of Bi (totality in details).

The precision of the silhouette, the detailed craftsmanship of the joinery and upholstery, as well as the interconnected solid wood frame, makes it an elegant and comfortable but also stable and robust chair, ideal both for domestic and contract use.

About the
Seller

Craftbuilt are artisans of wooden masterpieces, creating high-quality fitments for residential, commercial and corporate projects all over New Zealand.

Passion with experience, established in 1992, Craftbuilt is a 100% New Zealand owned and operated family business.

“We love working with wood… the smell, the texture; every piece is different… it’s clean, renewable, and environmentally friendly.”

The Craftbuilt founder, a builder by trade, entered the market manufacturing reproduction fitments for character homes in 1992. Now, with a combined experience of over 170 years, the team at Craftbuilt continues to grow and learn every day. We specialise in re-creating authentic replicas of unique fitments for that focal point in your home. Our craftsman joiners have the patience and attention to detail that allows us to offer a full custom manufacturing service.

We select the best timber available and can manufacture in any species to suit your project.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
