The LIVING BOUNDARY™ mid-height instant hedge range is the perfect way to add some structure and maturity to any garden or patio. Our range offers a broad selection of native and exotic varieties, providing you with plenty of choice to perfectly suit your outdoor space.

For convenience, instant hedges come pre-grown and ready to be planted, so you can have a fully established hedge in the minimum amount of time. And if it's something a bit more compact you're after, some of our varieties are suitable for planting in suitably sized planters - perfect for balconies and smaller areas.

As Twining Valley Nurseries is a production nursery only, we do not provide an installation/landscaping service. You can either install your new Living Walls™ instant hedge yourself, following our detailed installation guides, or employ a local landscape contractor to do it for you.

Product specifications

Living Boundary™ hedges come in our 70L hedge bag - weighing approx 65kg

  • Hedge (above ground) – one metre long x 400mm wide (approx)
  • Rootball (below ground) – 900mm long x 400mm wide x 250mm deep (approx). These are approx dimensions and the minimum trench required.
  • Some varieties are happy to be planted into suitably sized containers. Please see our price list for suggested options (container planting column).
  • Ideally, containers will have minimum internal dimensions of 900mm L x 400mm W x 400mm H for a 70L hedge option. For longer containers or planter boxes intended to contain multiple metres of hedge, ensure any cross bracing is placed at intervals that minimise rootball disturbance, ie one metre centres where possible.
