The SAS Royal Hotel turned to Space Copenhagen founders Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou, who designed a chair that would look lovely in the hotel - and actually anywhere. “The SAS Royal Hotel lobby is an essential part of their legendary interior,” says Henriksen. “It’s enormous and elegant. We wanted to design a piece of furniture that could create a sense of intimacy in this very open space.” “At the same time,” adds Rützou, “The design had to relate the signature spiral staircase and the circular columns of the space. A comfortable design that would somehow also make you feel protected. Sitting alone or in a group, without feeling too exposed.”

Whether for an exclusive hotel, club or lounge, or a private living space, Loafer offers the ultimate in luxury. The freedom to lounge in style forever.

About the
Seller

Established in 1997, Cult (formerly Corporate Culture) was formed to provide not only exceptional designer furniture, but also a high level of customer service, a combination not yet experienced in the Australian marketplace.

In his endeavours since then, company founder and director Richard Munao have built one of the most comprehensive collections of brand partners in Australia and New Zealand. Cult has grown from its first location in Sydney to now include showrooms in Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland as well as distributors in Canberra, Adelaide and Perth.

In addition to founding Cult, and supporting strong international partners like Fritz Hansen, Carl Hansen & Son, &Tradition, HAY and Gubi, in 2017 Cult launched Nau, a contemporary collection of Australian made furniture, lighting and accessories by a collective of Australia's most curious, talented and spirited designers.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
