Classic, sleek and incredibly classy! This is the Louvre chair, designed by Studio Fermob. It’s a stylish and elegant garden chair, inspired by the chairs found in Paris’ public gardens and parks at the beginning of the 20th century, including the Tuileries Garden, right by the Louvre. Hence the name!
This model, one of the brand’s oldest designs, is incredibly functional: up to 10 chairs can be stacked together! A clever choice when it comes to storage. Boasting Fermob’s remarkable expertise in metalworking, the Louvre chair really stands out: a wire-work design, delicate perforations on the seat and welded steel slats on the backrest.
This piece marks the arrival of electric welding in Fermob’s workshops, making it possible to invisibly join together two sheets (or the backrest slats, in this case). With its anti-UV polyester powder paintwork, this beautiful piece is made to last.
The Louvre chairs are available in all 24 shades of the Fermob colour chart. Which ones will you choose? In the mood to mix and match? Have some fun: anything goes! And for optimal comfort, don’t forget to add Basics or Color Mix round cushions to your stunning garden chairs.

With its fun, colourful, design-inspired, typically French products, Fermob is a joyful brand that sticks in people’s minds! Fermob was born in France in the 1900s with the brand launched its very first iron furniture collections. It went on to build a solid reputation over the years. But the real turning point came in 1989 when the current CEO Bernard Reybier took over the small and decades-old workshop in Thoissey (near Lyon- France) with a vision to take the French brand global. His clever idea was to combine the company’s time-served know-how with inspired input from leading names in the design world. The result was a series of stunning collections designed by Pascal Mourgue, Patrick Jouin, Frédéric Sofia, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Sir Terence Conran, and others. It was a real success story!
Fermob is a brand that is in tune with the times, is strongly attached to human values, takes pride in its work, supports smart innovation, and has a deep respect for the environment. Today, Fermob is the number-one outdoor furniture brand, employing 270 people and producing 650,000 pieces every year. It has become a trendsetter in outdoor colour and has launched a brand-new range of stunning lamps. Have a look around and you’ll get to see Fermob everywhere – from New York’s Times Square and Tokyo’s Marunouchi Street, to Beijing’s Forbidden City and Paris’ Jardin des Tuileries. So no matter where you are, you can get your own slice of the brand’s joy of living.
