A classic is born. It expresses Antonio Citterio’s stable elegance. Different types of seat: chairs, armchairs and a chaise longue are included in the collection. The folding armchair revisits the classic shape of the director’s chair, with exclusive details. All sizes of tables, small tables and consoles have the same frame and top in painted aluminium, in brushed natural Iroko slats or in Calacatta white porcelain stoneware.

The Mirto collection is also being expanded to include new designs and finishes starting with the folding director’s chair now in ecru canvas with natural thick leather armrests and a die-cast aluminium frame in the new colours, clay and sage. There is also a series of very innovative dining, small and console tables in several sizes that reproduce the collection’s minimalist design elements with a fresh take on colours and decorations. The die-cast aluminium frame comes in three new varnishes - clay, sage and anthracite - and the table tops are made of black lava stone laid out in designs based on traditional Sicilian lace in the three different frame shades.

REMINDER: The Iroko timber used on the Carpino and Mirto tables by B&B Italia, is untreated. It is important to note that with age, as the natural oils in the timber dissipate, the timber will take on a silver/ grey appearance. This will be accelerated with exposure to sunlight and moisture. It is normal for cracks to appear and movement in the timber to take place as the wood absorbs or releases moisture in the atmosphere. The table is best suited to a protected, covered outdoor area.
