The Globe Trotter collection, designed by Marcel Wanders, is inspired by legendary adventurers and explorers, collectors of rare objects, passionate about the cultures they discover during their expeditions. The open-mindedness, freedom and inspiration typical of the designer can be found here.
The majestic Montgolfiere bed seems to be suspended by its two balloons on either side, which create an intimate and comfortable alcove feeling.

Marcel Wanders is one of the most talented designers of his generation; his works are exhibited in very prestigious museums such as the MoMA in New York and San Francisco, the V&A Museum in London and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Cleverly combining historical references and imaginary expeditions, Marcel Wanders imagined for Roche Bobois a collection - like a journey - that is both romantic and poetic.
