Natural Travertine - Silver Travertine

Deluxe range travertine from Italy, 20mm thickness and honed finish. This metallic coloured travertine is an eye-catching colour with typical banded patterning.

Travertine is formed from limestone deposits from mineral springs, as this is layered over time, it can have a striped or banded appearance with different colours appearing as the layers are formed over time. Often used for building, some notable examples are the Colosseum, Sacré-Cœur Basilicain Paris and the Getty centre in Los Angeles.

Often used in cladding, flooring and construction, this is a versatile stone. Quite often it is porous due to CO2 bubbles formed as the calcium carbonate is deposited. Travertine will give a distinctive look to any installation.
