NZ Native Mountain Beech/Black Beech or Tawhai Rauriki

One of the hardiest forms of native beech tolerating exposed conditions. Strong branching structure with an attractive dark brown to black trunk and fine dark green sprays of small oval leaves. A very useful and popular landscape native tree. Hardy, evergreen, grows to 8 x 4m.

Suitable for: Group plantings, native screening.
