Nubia Ceiling Light by Leucos

A perfect melding of simplicity and functionality. The Nubia LED Wall/Ceiling Light from Leucos brings a gentle design and sufficient illumination to modern spaces. Its look was inspired by clouds, which is why the edge of it features soft peaks and dips. The diffuser was made using a technique called incamiciato, which is a traditional Venetian method where a maestro hand-blows multiple layers of glass of different transparencies for a rich, satin white look. As a result, the light coming from Nubia is evenly distributed without losing its strength.

“It really seems that the light source is still a reminder of the origins of things. Even if it no longer illuminates the family circle, dispersed and multiplied, it is still the sign of a privileged intimacy, attributes a particular value to things, creates shadows, invents presences ” Jean Baudrillard, Le système des objects, 1968.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent.
