Pilastro | Stool
The Pilastro stool is part of the "Kartell goes Sottsass - A Tribute to Memphis" collection, launched in 2015 in homage to design guru Ettore Sottsass. Pilastro, which comes in five opaque tones (red, lilac, purple, green and black), stands out for its architectural lines and is made from mass-coloured thermoplastic technopolymer.
A collection of functional accessories, but that's not all: they're true charismatic sculptures.
The shapes and bright colours of the Pilastro and Colonna stools/occasional tables, and the Calice vase proudly reflect their creator, Ettore Sottsass. Their decidedly modern look can go anywhere--indoors and out--thanks to the plastics used to make them: mass-dyed thermoplastic technopolymer, with an elegant glossy effect.
