When it comes to transforming your outdoor spaces into little corners of paradise, Fermob always stands ready!

The Shadoo parasol is the latest addition to patios and terraces, building on the success of the brand’s furniture, lighting and accessory collections. This large, round, aluminium parasol boasts practicality and visual appeal in equal measure. Its adorably mischievous little name is a play on words – a light-hearted nod to shade, gentleness and movement. This is a parasol that’s not like the others!

The Shadoo parasol from Fermob provides effective shade from the sun. The 250 cm-diameter umbrella-type sail is the handiwork of Vlaemynck, which boasts over 50 years’ experience in industrial-scale weaving, fabric-making and assembly. The firm opted for 260 gsm Sunbrella® solution-dyed acrylic fabric. Because it’s hard-wearing, water-repellent and resistant to UV rays, stains and mould, it’s ideal for protecting the subtle and exclusive colours from the Fermob metal colour chart.

The Shadoo parasol is a head-turning concept that’s faithful to the values of creativity and innovation that have made Fermob a success. In terms of materials, the brand opted for aluminium for the pole and fibreglass for the ribs that hold the fabric in place – just the right balance between lightness and sturdiness, so you can set up your parasol and move it around the mood takes you! The collapsible pole splits in two, so it’s easy to store away in its bag when winter arrives.

Easy to maintain, easy to live with and easy to store: the Shadoo parasol really does have it all! When it comes to combinations, we like to pair Shadoo with the 143 x 80 cm table for six guests from our iconic Luxembourg collection, which has a handy parasol hole in the centre.

The more audacious among you might like to mix and match the colours. Whatever you choose, you know your outdoor space is going to be HAPPY!

With its fun, colourful, design-inspired, typically French products, Fermob is a joyful brand that sticks in people’s minds! Fermob was born in France in the 1900s with the brand launched its very first iron furniture collections. It went on to build a solid reputation over the years. But the real turning point came in 1989 when the current CEO Bernard Reybier took over the small and decades-old workshop in Thoissey (near Lyon- France) with a vision to take the French brand global. His clever idea was to combine the company’s time-served know-how with inspired input from leading names in the design world. The result was a series of stunning collections designed by Pascal Mourgue, Patrick Jouin, Frédéric Sofia, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Sir Terence Conran, and others. It was a real success story!

Fermob is a brand that is in tune with the times, is strongly attached to human values, takes pride in its work, supports smart innovation, and has a deep respect for the environment. Today, Fermob is the number-one outdoor furniture brand, employing 270 people and producing 650,000 pieces every year. It has become a trendsetter in outdoor colour and has launched a brand-new range of stunning lamps. Have a look around and you’ll get to see Fermob everywhere – from New York’s Times Square and Tokyo’s Marunouchi Street, to Beijing’s Forbidden City and Paris’ Jardin des Tuileries. So no matter where you are, you can get your own slice of the brand’s joy of living.
