Design & Craft

The seamless tapered end details of the Tenn Pendant are achieved by hand picking and crafting from a single piece of hardwood.

Once the chosen piece of timber is planed and docked to size, we CNC machine it with three processes to achieve a smooth, meticulously tapered shape. Every Tenn pendant is hand-sanded and finished, allowing the intricate and grain variations of solid timber to bring warmth and character to your space. We fit only the highest quality lighting components into the timber piece and wire it up with our custom-made grippers and cable system. Each piece is individually assessed and quality checked to ensure it’s working perfectly and looks beautiful.

No two Tenn’s look the same. As with all of our signature, handcrafted pieces, the natural variations in solid timber ensure your pendant is truly bespoke. And while we go to great lengths to ensure our photos reflect the true timber appearance, we encourage you to order a timber sample before customising your Tenn Pendant.

The Tenn Pendant in Flux

With an understated presence and array of hardwood timber options, it’s no surprise the Tenn Linear Pendant Light is loved by renovators and designers alike. Complimenting the sustainable and timeless direction of the Kingfisher House project, Director and Designer, Bronwyn of Hannah & Co. Design, speaks to the high-quality simplicity of the Tenn:

“The Tenn pendant by Fluxwood was the perfect fit for my Kingfisher House project. With timbers locally sourced from sustainable, Australian suppliers, Fluxwood was the perfect fit to deliver on the sustainable credentials of the project.

I wanted a very bespoke look for the kitchen and the extra details that I could choose meant it fit perfectly with the finishes in the home. I adore the elegant, clean lines above the kitchen bench and the detailing and finish Fluxwood achieves is second to none. It really is a special piece in the space.”
