Blinds by Peter Meyer offers an extensive range of Australian made Shutters to suit all applications, both domestic and commercial. We utilise only the highest quality materials and focus on the quality of fit and finish.
Our Ultimate Shutters are constructed from plantation grown, sustainable western red cedar. Cedar offers excellent insulation properties which will assist with keeping the heat transfer out during the summer months and retaining the warmth during the winter months.
Combine our interior shutter range with our exterior aluminium shutter range, and Blinds By Peter Meyer has a shutter to suit every application.

Sustainable Timber
Timber used in all Blinds by Peter Meyer Cedar Shutters and Venetians has a Chain of Custody certificate issued by The Engineered Wood Products Association of Australasia Ltd (ewpaa).
PEFC Certification
The cedar we specify has full PEFC certification, is completely sustainable & sourced from Canadian government regulated forests with a plant ratio of 3:1 or 3 new trees planted for every 1 removed. The cedar is old growth sustainable, ensuring the fine grain and consistent finish designers, architects & decorators have come to expect from Blinds by Peter Meyer.
EWPAA Certifications
The cedar used in all our Shutters and Venetians is sourced from Timbeck Architectural who has formalised their commitment to sustainability with FSC Chain of custody certification from ewpaa. Timbeck’s total production is from sustainable sources, their company and staff like ours is committed to the environmental and sustainability credentials emanating from the forests where their resources originate and are proud to be part of the chain which enables Certified Timber to be enjoyed by all.

Chinois, our eclectic collection of exotic woven bamboos Silk Road, an amazing range of rustic Oriental woven grasses, reeds & twines Urban Naturals, a Timber Venetians, high grade sustainable Cedar in a range of widths, stains or custom paint. Shangri La, is an exclusive sheer blind with a vane between two layers, offering a soft sheer light and view or complete privacy.
We’d like to tell you a little bit of Blinds by Peter Meyer history…
Peter Meyer commenced manufacturing blinds in 1987 after 15 year’s experience as both a retailer and an interior decorator. He applied that knowledge & experience to set up to manufacture high quality custom made blinds for the trade.
Today Blinds by Peter Meyer is regarded highly as one the best manufacturers of quality blinds in Australia.
Family Owned and Run
The business is now run by his sons, Simon and Damien with Peter becoming chairman of the Board. This generational change has been extremely successful with the company now strengthened with additional energy, innovation and ideas. Both Simon and Damien bring extensive experience to the business with over 30 years combined experience considerably adding to the day to day expertise & customer service. With this background, our management and strong team of experts understand the industry, indoor and outdoor, from both the retail and manufacturing perspectives..

All of our blinds and awnings are available in most states and larger cities through a network of retailers, designers and decorators and our reach extends to New Zealand and Singapore.
