The two-piece silver plated caviar serving set in the Vertigo pattern contains an outer presentation dish for ice and a lidded bowl that can hold 4.4 oz. of caviar. Vertigo’s bold motif — a subtly asymmetrical, thick ring often placed playfully askew — can be found on every piece in the collection designed by Andrée Putman.
Vertigo reveals the story of a beautiful encounter, that of a famous luxury house and a great design signature, Andrée Putman. Designed by Andrée Putman in 2002, Vertigo brilliantly illustrates the design concept of Putman by combining simplicity and purity with functionality.
The collection is characterized by a ring emblem with a sensual and deliberately asymmetrical design that integrated onto each piece. “The ring appears in a different way on each piece in the collection, but it is always the same and plays the same role. Kind of twist, a knowing wink that I slip into the pieces, something I often do in my creation” says Andrée Putman. The grande dame of French design admits that handling projects and designing products for the hotel business has a special appeal. In fact, it is one of her favourite fields.
