X-Line Chair

Originally designed by Niels Jørgen Haugesen in the late ’70s, the X-Line Chair has joined HAY’s collection of timeless, original designs. Crafted from thin metal wire, the chair’s industrial aesthetic and precise steel construction make it a prime example of the high-tech movement of the 1970s. The meticulously considered design offers optimal functionality, with the distinctive X-structure enhancing both flexibility and strength, as well as adding visual appeal.

Now available in new colours and finishes thoughtfully chosen to bridge past and present, the X-Line’s simple and logical design language remains as relevant today as ever. Its minimalist style, combined with durable, stackable qualities, makes it a versatile seating solution for a variety of settings. Depending on the chosen finish, the X-Line is suitable for either indoor use only or both indoor and outdoor use.
