Anthony Harper – one of New Zealand’s longest established and most respected law firms – chose Wingates to design their new 1280sqm Workplace on Levels 34 and 35 of the ANZ Tower in Auckland’s CBD. With the aspiration to step away from the look of a traditional law firm, the new working environment has provided an opportunity for the firm to showcase internally and externally their renowned cohesive culture. Against the backdrop of the magnificent views of Auckland’s Waitemata harbour our design solution responds to the Anthony Harper brand and way of working providing spaces to meet clients, formally and informally on Level 34.

This level supports welcoming and hosting clients with refreshments easily accessed close to meeting rooms and there are a variety of spaces to suit engaging with clients in different settings.

Level 35 is the staff floor for the Anthony Harper team. Working the challenge of the depth of the floorplate, Wingates found a unique way to ensure all spaces were sought after and reduce the hierarchy and preference of the window seats. The generous staff hub has quickly become a popular place for socialising taking a break and hosting staff gatherings.

Overall, the Anthony Harper brand and colour palette are woven into the design of the interior fitout and acknowledge connection to the character of the business and what it has been built on. The new workplace is set to continue to provide the optimal setting for a diverse group of talented professionals to deliver their best work.
