Renovation of the iconic 1930s City Library into the City Gallery, featuring innovative high-pressure laminate cladding that enhances the heritage structure while providing durability and weather resistance.
Originally the 1930’s City Library, this iconic heritage building required a unique cladding solution. We fixed the pre-finished, high-pressure laminate panels (imported from Germany) to an aluminium cavity structure we’d set up and mechanically fastened to the building. The result was dimensionally stable, weather and UV resistant cladding that would continue to celebrate the surrounding, original structure.
