Spanning over 2000 square metres, this unique site was populated with mature Spotted Gums and imposing boulders that set the tone for an exciting design. The house was set well back along a private road, accessible only by inclinator. Our brief was diverse. Provide safe pedestrian access to the home, renovate the inclinator run including adding an additional stop, yoga deck, swimming pool and spa, create areas for outdoor entertaining and a firepit area were just some of the structural requirements and challenges here. Apart from the mature trees and a handful of palms, we were also required to completely re-establish the lower-level planting that was previously non indigenous species. A special project with our clients that we have enjoyed additional collaborations with.

"I wanted Crane Lodge guests to feel like they were being nurtured by nature, so as part of that I wanted to create a forest bathing experience that led from the bottom of the site up to the top, with specific zones facilitating the connection to nature." Kim - Owner.

“…it’s the most challenging sites that deliver the most interesting outcomes.” Matthew - Creative Director.

“It’s wonderful to be able to share its beauty with our guests and know it will be enjoyed for generations to come." Kim - Owner.

About the
Professional

We pride ourselves on providing a personal yet professional service, focused on clear communication and attention to detail; this is where we excel. Creating gardens is an organic process by nature, they take time from planning to completion and beyond; we never lose sight of the responsibility that comes with this collaboration and the trust that our clients have placed in us.

Listening first - Creating second

Our clients are diverse, unique, yet still like-minded, recognising the value in considered and well-resolved gardens. We have a common goal, and though it’s a journey we share, we are confident and experienced to take the lead. A process to reveal the requirements of our clients’ lifestyles, then create a considered balance between their brief, the architecture, and surrounds, whether it be in an urban context or more open or natural setting.

Our gardens are renowned for intelligent design solutions that celebrate our clients’ individuality, combining meticulous details and beautiful materials with unique and inspired planting combinations.

Your vision - Our creativity

Since 1994, Secret Gardens has been connecting clients with their outdoor environments. Over this period, we have built and maintained a reputation as a leader in the industry, across each of our disciplines.

Our team offers a wealth of experience and diverse skillsets. Our clients enjoy a holistic approach that offers the services of full-time landscape architects and designers, landscape construction specialists, and experienced horticulturists. We collaborate with an extended network of consultants and skilled contractors as required, to ensure our projects are delivered to the highest of industry standards. Complete project management, a turnkey solution providing total peace of mind.

Though our work is concentrated on the residential market in Sydney, our projects are varied not only in style and scale but location as well, reaching beyond our core local market, spanning both regional and interstate locations. We embrace the unconventional and the challenging, be it courtyard gardens, rooftop gardens, or more extensive landscapes including acreage.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
