FDMC Science & Art Block banner

This project required the expansion of existing school facilities, i.e. the expansion/refurbishment of an existing Art Block and the construction of a new Science Block (at another location in the school grounds).

Challenges included:

  • Site constraints, i.e. very small geographical areas to manage construction activities while maintaining school activities;
  • Working on both facilities simultaneously to achieve a tight deadline.

These were resolved by managing deliveries to each site ahead of the school day commencing, ensuring each site was well-resourced to maintain build momentum and working through the normal Xmas/New Year shutdown period to meet the project delivery date.
Overall, the steps we took – in conjunction with everyone else involved in the project – ensured that this project was completed on time & on budget.
