Freshwater Christian College Learning Outdoor Nature Play
TPG was appointed as Principal Consultant to project manage the design and construction of a nature playground for the Kindergarten children at Freshwater Christian College.
Working with the Landscape Architect 'Landplan', a variety of nature play experiences were created, including a 'dingo den' tunnel, ropes course, balancing beams, timber steppers, slides, a talking tube and stone creek bed with a hand pump that the children can operate.
The contractor, Miles of Landscaping, has extensive experience in the construction of these types of nature play spaces, which are interesting and exciting, yet safe and compliant. The nature play space ha become an exceptional asset to the College, and has allowed the staff to provide an inspirational, engaging and yet challenging play-based learning program.
