Supermarket floors work harder than almost any other retail surface - here’s how we helped New World Rototuna get theirs back on track.
Earlier this year, PCL was asked to support Suresh, the owner-operator of New World Rototuna, with a persistent flooring issue that was affecting daily operations.
During our site inspection, we discovered that a previous remediation had created a patchwork layer of composite flooring over the original vinyl. This “jigsaw” effect was trapping grime in the joins and preventing condensation from the freezers from evaporating - leading to constant pooling of water on the shop floor and an ongoing maintenance challenge for the team.
Suresh entrusted PCL to find a long-term solution, giving us the opportunity to demonstrate the real impact a Megafloor polished concrete system can make in a large retail environment.
It wasn’t the easiest project… but our team absolutely delivered!
